This study programme provides an introduction to Norwegian and the other Nordic languages and relevant literature from the Middle Ages to the present day, considered in a broad cultural perspective. It also fulfils the requirements of the 4th year of the General Teacher Education study programme.
The study programme qualifies successful candidates to teach Norwegian in primary and secondary schools. However, before candidates can use the qualification to teach in schools, they must first complete a teacher training study programme. It may also form part of the Bachelor’s degree in Language and Literature, if studied with the specialisation in Norwegian, or it may form part of other Bachelor’s degrees
